Everytime someone tries to flame me, I imagine what they would sound like in real life.
And it's all quite scatological.

Typically the person takes on the persona of this character from the movie "Idiocracy":

Numbered left to right, starting in the upper right square.

1. Yeah, so, like, what's the name of the shit you had for breakfast?

2. Uhhhh... I'm going to... uhhh... I can't think of anything at the moment.

3. What's the matter. Are you gonna make me sniff your butt?

4. Oh my God! Are you trying to make me THINK???

5. Don't show me articles! I can't stand the articles!

6. So... your momma... is a hamster! And she has a large ass! So there! (Can I go now?)

I don't really have a point to this, other than to say that after I imagine this, I typically feel a lot better.

6. A little over ten years ago, just after Fox News premiered, I spoke to a conservative...
who told me that one of his cardinal rules about watching women reading the news is that "You better look good."

That still from the movie isn't too far from the truth.

7. The problem is that if you are man, you won't remember much

In this BBC show they showed to men news clips and the men had trouble remembering the contents of news clips with female anchors. ( it's about 5 or 10 minutes into it)

10. When I was in lets say a crazier state of mind
I let it really bother me..Even did the drama queen I'm leaving DU type thing.
Now I realize that the snarky bastard giving me hell is probably some 98lb dork whose girlfriend is his left hand.
It is easy for someone to be a complete ass when their teeth are safe from being knocked out.
Oh good evening my friend :D :hi:

12. Why, good evening, gopsux!
"Now I realize that the snarky bastard giving me hell is probably some 98lb dork whose girlfriend is his left hand."

What a great way to say "hello!"

;)

But seriously, people who do that traditionally are folks who feel powerless, I believe. They feel powerless so they resort to cruelly treating others online as a means to assuage that feeling.

I'm BORED with it, myself.

People strike out when they feel it is safe to strike out.
And also the nature of written text on an internet board is so often hard to interpret.
People often lash out too quick.
And thank you for the good eve,Writer :pals:

14. In real life, I'd probably punch them in the throat.
Which is weird -- I used to be laid-back.
