Everyone knows I'm not involved in the Valentine's Day scene, but it really is something of a Hallmark holiday anyway. Find a way to make it meaningful, with or without a lover, and think of the money you save by not having to splurge on any one person. :)

15. I don't really get that holiday...

I always even forget what day it actually is, because stores start advertising and selling crap for it soooooo early. I think my husband appreciates that though, as I don't want anything but to just make it through the day without vomiting at all the schmaltzig PDAs and general BS that has *nothing* to do with genuine love or affection.

I think it sucks that people who are single are looked down on and pitied for being single on the holiday; I also dislike how some people feel pressured to hook up with somebody, just so they aren't lonely on the holiday. I especially hate the materialistic aspect of Vday where a chica or dude accepts gifts from a dirty, low-down mate that supposedly "makes up for" all the stuff the mate did to them the whole rest of the year... Argh.

I think everybody's physical, mental, and emotional health would improve if we didn't have this silly holiday!

I recommend eating a meal you love, taking a nice hot bubble-bath with some nice oils, incense, and aromatherapy and then watching your fave movie or reading your fave book... but then that's what I do anytime I have a bad day! (And remember its only ONE day a year!)
