Serge, with his new bone. He still remains somewhat confused by the size of it, though he is giving it his best effort to tame the thing.

2. That's what we're calling it. The kids bought it at PetSmart.
I told them that they need to tie a rope around it so he can at least drag it around! I'mn ot sure what kind of bone it is, actually, as it was unwrapped and in residence by the time I got home from work.

3. What a pretty boy.
We gave our black lab one of the 3 ft rawhide bones from Petsmart. She picked it up in the middle of the bone and they spent the rest of the day trying to figure out how to get through the doorway. Since she would not drop the bone, we had to physically turn her head so that the bone was perpendicular to the floor so she could get through. Heidi was a sweet dog (she died at 15 years of age over the summer), but not the brightest dog.

I still miss her. :-(

Serge likes to carry his new "toys" around and show them off to people when he first gets them - with this one he tried, but couldn't!

I'm so sorry you lost Heidi. We also lost out black lab, Bandi, at age 15. We'd had her since she was 9 months old. She was an amazing dog.

4. What a gorgeous guy he is!
How old is he?? If he's still teething, he will start demolishing that soon :-).

6. Thank you! We got him from the Humane Society in July and they
said he was 13 months old, but I am sure he is younger.

He's not teething but loves to chew things. If he gets bored, he will chew on anything, including people, so we have to keep a good supply of appropriate dog chewables in the house. When we first got him he'd try to chew on my arms. My forearms looked like someone had beaten me.

8. Wow. They did a good job making that bone
if it's artificial.

If it's real, what animal could they possibly have taken that from?

I hope your dog figures out how to enjoy his treat. He looks like a wonderful dog. :)
