life is good. 80+ mpg

I'm going to look so cool cruising down the road on that thing!

Anybody else have or ride a scooter?

5. Anyway I have a Suzuki Burgman 400
I bought it last June 21 and it's a ball to ride. When the weather is nice you just have to ride it and let the car sit. Have fun and be safe. Remember you have to ride defensively cagers can look right at you and not see you. Don't even think of riding without a helmet.

8. Then good thing it didn't see the Burgman up above :) - I might be getting
one of these eventually:
A Yamaha Majesty

Or, more likely, a Yamaha Morphus

9. Wow. That Morphus is very cool.
:)

I totally envy people who have the motor control and coordination to ride.

11. It is :) but I've seen some pretty acrobatic people on scooters too, especially
up in Bangor, they were wild (your kind of scooter, I mean)

Something about the design of the Morphus just grabs me.

14. My Zuma up above is only 50CC, you should be proud. Great gas mileage, though they're
a little hard on the environment as far as air pollution goes, being 2-cycles.

18. 2 scooters here
:hi:

A small Honda Spree that we trundle around the farm with, and a Yamaha Riva that we use around town and on the farm.

What a gas savings! And so easy to drive - my kids are comfortable with them without having to worry about shifting. We got the Spree for free about 8 years ago from a friend who didn't care to fix it (it only needed a new battery and since then it's been great), and we only paid $1000 for the Yamaha about 5 years ago since it was used (barely!) These aren't fancy, and they've been dropped a few times by careless kids so now they don't look pristine but I wouldn't trade them in for anything now. Great workhorses for us.

I am dead certain we've saved at least twice as much as we paid in gas alone. And they are fun!!

Be sure to wear a helmet. We wear the reflective vests as well when we are out on the road - people really aren't paying attention to people on bikes of any sort so make yourself as visible as you can.
