Is "Nacho Libre" the worst movie ever?
I thought it would be good for a least a couple of laughs. But it was a total piece of shite. We had to stop it after about 15 minutes. Ended up watching "Tucker" which we hadn't seen before. Excellent movie, I thought.

1. I don't know... the recent Batman thread reminded me of
Batman and Robin... I haven't seen Nacho Libre, but it's hard to imagine that it's worse than that piece of crap.

3. Have you seen Tin Cup?
That one gets my vote. For the top ten worst, if not the actual worst.

The only people who like this film are:

1. Blinded by their mad love of golf
2. Blinded by their mad love of Costner, Marin, Johnson, and/or Russo
3. Just plain crazy

9. I thought Tin Cup was hysterical
I don't golf and think that Costner has only limited range as an actor. It's no Bull Durham but I thought it was funny. I've enjoyed most of Ron Shelton's films.

Roy: That'd make an issue out of something that's not an issue. Besides, I'm focused. I am! This is my quest! This is my stand for the guys who've had their fill of soulless robots like David Simms.
Romeo: Well, David Simms may be a "soulless robot", but he's a rich, happy, soulless robot... with a beautiful doctor lady girlfried. Besides, how's getting in the Open going to change what she thinks about you?
Roy: Well, it'll show her that I'm not who she thinks I am.
Romeo: But you are who she thinks you are!

(after Simms refuses to attempt a 250 yard shot over a water hazard)
Roy 'Tin Cup' McAvoy: Fifteen years on the tour an' you're still a fuckin' pussy.
Simms: Thirteen years on the driving range and you still think this game is about your testosterone count.

23. Most assuredly not.
The first one made me want to flail myself, so I don't think I could have handled the second one.

10. if you have to ask, you obviously never seen Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Tucker, on the other hand, is a great movie. I haven't seen it in years, but for some reason I loved it as a kid when it came out. I've probably watched it at least half a dozen times.

13. I liked it.
I watched it with my kids. We laughed. You definitely have to be in the right mood for it, though.

I never understood why people thought Zoolander was funny after I watched it the first time (only made it about 20 minutes into it -- thought it was horrible). But then I watched it a couple years later and I was in a goofy mood and I actually really liked it.

18. There's no way it could be the worst movie ever
That's because the Tom Cruise version of "War of the Worlds" sucks so bad, you can put a hose on it and use it to clean out the Repuke Party.

And you KNOW if a movie sucks bad enough to lift a 350-lb Republican, it really fucking sucks.

20. Dude, if you think that's the worst movie ever, you have to be less than 20 years old.
Because bad as it is, it is NOWHERE close to the worst film ever.

25. Actually, I think Ishtar has a bad rap.
It's not great, but it has a certain campy charm that lifts it well above the dregs of the worst.
