I met John Kerry yesterday! Shook his hand and said "Thank you".


He spoke at the Tacoma chapter of the National Association of Colored Women (which dates back to 1923, hence the name).

They let this white guy (me) in anyway. Kerry was in town campaigning in support of Barack Obama. He spoke for about forty-five minutes, and really got everyone excited about Obama's candidacy and possible Presidency. It's the first time I've ever met a Presidential candidate, and it's nice that it was one I voted for. I shook his hand as he was leaving, but didn't get a pic with him. I was SO jazzed.

He's not a brilliant speaker, but he did get the crowd worked up in support of Obama.
