Nanny and Rose.

The painting, by Scott Pryor, depicts his wife, who is the daughter of Kurt Vonnegut.

"Fool the eye..."

Looks like a photograph...

I didn't know you guys were a few weeks ago. I just put up a tiny avatar of my husband and me from the 1970s.

Can you even see it? We are celebrating 35 years of marriage tomorrow Monday, February 4, 2008. We'll have a quite dinner out somewhere nice and then go to the preview of the new comedy Fool's Gold, with Kate Hudson and Matthew McConnaghey.

Are you in Switzerland now? It's a place I've always wanted to visit, but never made it.

Thanks for the info.

Cordially,

Radio Lady Ellen Kimball and Audio Al

11. Holy mackerel, he's from New England, with works at a lot of Boston area museums.

I'm SURE I must have seen some of his paintings.

My husband says, "His stuff is better than Thomas Kincaide!"

:sarcasm: of course! Thank you so much for bringing this artist to our attention.

His works are masterpieces. We love impressionism, but realism like this can really turn your head.

Cordially,

Radio Lady in Oregon

10. Trof, that is just amazing.
My father was an amateur artist. Don't know if you've ever seen this big canvas from the 1950s, which we have on the wall of our den. It's the cover of a record album called "La Femme" (Composer Michel LeGrand).

I didn't inherit the talent of painting, but I have made a living as a speaker and writer. Dad was also a lawyer, politician, inventor, sculptor, and violinist.
