So how does a football player catch a ball on his helmet, anyway?

1. My dear Writer!
I have no idea how a guy catches a football on his helmet!

I'd rather talk about my GD thread, which just made the Greatest Page!

Nice to see you tonight!

On edit: I had a thread make the greatest page today, too, but it was a bit more... incendiary.

4. That was an amazing catch in a fantastic game!
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 02:37 AM by Green Meanie
I'm not even a big football fan, but that game had me jumping out of my chair and hollering.

:bounce:

We're having a rockin' little thunderstorm here right now. I've turned off all of the lights to watch the lightning.

:hi:

9. We should be getting snow...
63* in February is not normal. x(

WOW, big bolt just cracked in the field about 400 yards from where I'm sitting. It shook the house, and woke the dog. I love rolling thunder!

13. Oh yeah?
I've driven through Indianapolis, before. But more in that "hello, goodbye" sort of way. I'm guessing you're out in the plains, then?

15. Just past the second corn field to yer left...
We are fairly close to Indy in a rural area. It's a big change from living in SoCal... we've been living here for over 5 years.

16. Interesting.
I've lived in Northern Colorado for six years - moved here from the NYC area.

I welcome the lifestyle change, no doubt, but I miss access to CULTURE.

19. What is this "CULTURE" you speak of?

For the most part, Indiana is seriously lacking in culture, but I can drive to Indy in less than 30 min. and it's only a two hour drive to Chicago. The slower pace definitely took some getting used to. I do enjoy the peace and quiet here, but finding friends locally has been a big challenge. It's nearly torture as I'm very social.

Saw your thread, btw. I don't vote tomorrow. I still have some time to decide. However, I agree with what you had to say and the way you said it.

11. Well, it was a bit rough around the edges, but I have to admit, I was rather pissed.
It's about that prof. of mine. It's becoming more of a possibility that I'm going to see him more often this fall. I am so angry about his abandoning that project, and I wish there was a way I could express how I feel without being self-destructive.

14. hmmm --
There is a way to state it in a positive manner. You may need to write it out first. Write exactly how you feel, then cross out all the negative and go from there. It may take some time. Once written then you have some frame for a positive conversation.
Hope this helps. Also, and I know this is easier said than done, try to live in today. Worry about this fall when this fall gets here. Make plans, of course, but when you find your mind wondering (and I know how easy that is) try to move on with another project, in another direction. If that fails, WRITE about it. I know you know all this, and after awhile it sounds trite. Especially hollow, when I need to do it myself. Just trying to help you stay focused :)

Always :yourock: You really do;)

17. Actually, I think that's very good advice.
Thank you. I appreciate it. I think I should write out a letter to him; try to spell out how I feel (I wish I could remain professional, but the flirting has made this personal.) I would prefer to speak to him about this face-to-face, but I am so much sharper with writing than I am on my feet speaking.

I haven't been journaling much lately. I should ratchet that up.

Now, if I will just follow my own advice :D

and about that journaling thing  in that regard, I started a blog this evening, I am hoping this will inspire me to "ratchet up"
