To have the likes of Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan or Stellan Skarsgеrd (or better yet as one of your old lovers) makes me excited to see this movie. Couldn't ask for 3 better hotties!

1. I saw the traveling Broadway show on Saturday. It was spectacular.
Fun, fun show.

2. I should see it on Broadway - I just don't get to much theater these days
I think it was playing in Wilmington just recently

3. That is the one thing I really miss about CT, not being able to see
as many shows. When I lived in CT, I would go to NYC at the drop of a hat and get tickets from the TKTS booth on 42nd, just to see a show.

Kids and I are going to see Rent here in April. I love musicals.

4. Let's roadtrip up some weekend
I'm sure we could get Lost & Haruka to meet us up in NYC and we'll go see a Broadway Musical. Let Mr.Midlo take care of the kids for a weekend

6. LOL. Love to, but BabyMidlo is in a particularly
clingy stage. And, if I left them for the weekend alone with him, they'd shoot me on my return.

13. Then just don't go back - you've given them all the mothering you have
:hide:

OMG - I was checking out the DuPont in WIlmington - they have Evita playing there on my birthday. I named my cat after that musical. I'm gonna have to get tickets for that

5. The only thing worse than walking past the Winter Garden every day and looking at the CATS marquee
Edited on Tue Feb-05-08 01:25 PM by Rabrrrrrr
was after CATS closed - YAY!!!! - and then every day I had to walk past the even worse MAMMA MIA billboards. PLUS our office moved to Times Square, so then I had to look down upon it from my office.

x(

9. Except "Jersey Boys"
I refuse to pay $100 + to listen to a bunch of crappy Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons songs.

11. If it came here, the highest priced ticket is $58 or so, so yeah, I'd go see it.
For the last few years, I've been trying to really get my kids interested in theatre, symphonies, opera, etc. The only thing everyone can agree on is musicals.

I'll take it.

14. It's playing here in Chicago.
Blech. :-(

I will, happily, very happily, go to see "Avenue Q" when it comes here later this Spring. :-)

17. Rent is coming here in April! I'm so excited to see that.
When TM was in show choir at the old high school, their closer was Seasons. Brought the entire house to tears.

18. "Rent" is a good show.
I saw it here years ago with the original cast...including Anthony Rapp.

The movie is quite nice, also.

12. I have loved many a play on Broadway; but never a musical,
except Beauty and the Beast was very well done.

And while I'm sure Mamma Mia is a pretty cool production, I can't handle ABBA music. Mostly, though, I hate that picture of the woman leaning forward, and after looking it for a few years, it gets pretty goddamned annoying.

15. I loved Beauty and the Beast!
Took the kids up a few years back with a friend and her kids. Used Mr.'s points to stay at the Waldorf. Actually got to NYC in five hours and pulled into the Lunt Fontanne and got the last 7 tickets!

I loved it! Even though BabyMidlo slept through the second act in what we refer to as her $50 nap. :eyes:
