too early for a dinner thread?
I made chicken chili. It's called "white chicken chili" but I used black beans instead of white, and I added a can of corn. It's really a very pretty dish.

I'm kinda wishing I had some ice cream for dessert.

1. Homade burgers. Tater Tots?
I don't know if they're 'real food', but I'm a sucker for Tater Tots.

5. sounds good
my mom never made tuna casserole when we were growing up... which is probably why I never think to make it. But every time I've had it, I've enjoyed it.

6. My dear MissMillie!
Even though it's just after 3PM here, I've already decided what to make for dinner: We call it goulash!

One pound ground sirloin

One onion, chopped

Brown these together.

Then add one can chopped or stewed tomatoes, and about half a cup of uncooked rice.

The important ingredient: curry powder!

Stir together, cover and reduce heat to simmer; cook till rice is cooked, about 45 minutes or so...

We usually have bread or bagels with it...

9. that sounds a lot like what we call American Chop Suey
but we use macaroni pasta instead of rice, plenty of garlic, and no curry.

I know lots of people make American Chop Suey using spaghetti sauce, but when I grew up it was just diced tomatoes

and it was amazing!

Enjoy!

18. Oh, NO, of course not.
I just wonder if you alternate methods of preparing it. Fried, scalloped, diced, broiled, etc.

Basic but yummy. Leftover chicken will be divided for chicken salad and chicken/barley/mushroom soup.

30. I usually cut up a lemon, and onion and peel a few garlic cloves.
And up the chicken's butt they go! Fresh rosemary and thyme sprigs if I have them (and I do at the moment).

When I want to get really fancy, I'll make a paste of butter, herbs and honey, and spread it around underneath the skin before I roast it (probably won't do that tonight, though).

frozen vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, peas, carrots, corn), mix with some cream of potato soup, top with shredded cheddar cheese and lots of feta cheese. Bake in a double crust. It's very yummy! :9
