I need to start watching the news or something so that I get advanced warning of these things. I'm totally unprepared, not a drop of booze in the house. How the hell am I going to handle a snow day without a drink (or 10)?

none all winter, and now it is going to be 70 degrees. In Maryland.

This has been a real winter for once!

3. Spouse and I are all set.

The refrigerator is well stocked with beer and the wine rack is full.

Good thing, because the snowplow just stacked three feet of heavy snow at the end of our driveway! Even if we wanted to get out, we wouldn't be able to.

But we're retired, so all is well.
