Weird frickin soup.
Edited on Wed Feb-06-08 02:26 PM by GirlinContempt
I just had the urge to make soup today, so I started randomly throwing things in a giant pot.
I ended up with:

veg stock
red cabbage
green and yellow beans (fresh)
diced potatoes
mashed potatoes
a couple of handfuls of barley
onions
thyme
leftover roast turkey
chives
pepper

It smelled really damn good, but I tasted it and it was a little bland. I didn't want to add salt because I'm on a really low sodium diet, so I added..... lemon juice and organic balsamic vinegar.
I have NO IDEA what possessed me to add those things.
After I did, I had this horrible thought that I'd ruined my delicious soup.

It tastes so fucking good I can't believe it. Very, very strange.

It's kind of pink coloured, but it tastes amazing.

Am I wrong? Is this not weird?

4. Indeed
I was so relieved when I tasted it and realized it was good. I thought for sure I'd fucked it up bigtime.

5. The only bad part about it
is that you'll NEVER be able to duplicate it.
