The Liturgical Season doesn't mean shit to me
It has never rained for 40 days as long as I have been alive. DESPITE Global Climate Change.

If it takes you 40 years to find something, you are an idiot.

1. Hey. It took me 40 years to find my spouse.
Then again, she constantly tells me that I'm an idiot, so you might be correct.

2. Hey! I'm old and confused...

... and I didn't know where I was going! (Uncle Leo as Moses!)

EDIT: darned image didn't load properly! Argh!
SECOND EDIT: I changed "Moshe" to "Moses", as "Moshe" confused people. It's Moshe dammit! Not Moses! Darned transliteration!

4. Ahhh, grasshopper, you misinterpret "40" ...
back before the days of yore, many people did not have a conceptual grasp of things that are large or long.

Think if you told a 5 year old, you had 50 $1 bills. They would think you're rich because you have so many bills, even though the value is small. Many ancient societies would use a value to represent 'many'. How many days did Jesus walk in the desert? 40. How many days and nights was Noah in the ark? 40. To them, '40' meant many, a long period.
