My Kittie Babies are getting spayed today, Please send them GOOD VIBES.... Pics Included
Edited on Thu Feb-07-08 11:28 AM by MagickMuffin

My little girls are getting spayed and I'm worried about them. They are so young and innocent.

I explained that Kagome was a sickly kittie when I first started to tame them. Crusty ears, goopy eyes, bald spots on her tail and ears.
A vet advised me that antibiotics might be beneficial, which it was. Her fur grew back, her eyes cleared up, and her ears are no longer scabby and bent downward. I'm a good Cosmic Kittie Mama.

These are the feral kitties I tamed and I just hope they won't hate me for doing this to them, but I don't want them being such sluts like their mama.

So, if you guys could send them good vibes, I certainly would appreciate it.

Edit fixed pic.

1. I'm sure they'll be fine, Magick!
Thank you for rescuing them from a life of hardship and cruelty. They won't like going through the procedure, but they'll be fine and they won't stop loving you!

2. Thx zanne, the pic I had up wasn't very large, so I had to fix it
I used another web hosting site for my pic, and it made it thumbnail size, so I went back to my other hosting site.

These kitties are the sweetest kitties I have ever had the pleasure of owning, although I have owned a lot of other sweet kitties. They love to rub their little faces on my nose, somewhat like a European kisses. Sometimes they even nibble my nose.

Thx again for your support:hug:

My family has had cats my whole life and I don't think I've ever seen one with such a pale pink nose. Cute!

He misses his sisters. I had him neutered back in December and he still :loveya: his Cosmic Cat Mama. Thank goodness.

4. Given the choice...
I'm sure they'd opt not to have to be at the mercy of their hormones, have painful tomcat sex*, and be forced to crank out litter after litter of mewling, needy little parasites.

Before everyone flames me...look at it from Mama Kitty's point of view.
Kittens are sweet, devastatingly cute, adorable...but when you have four to six of the little guys making constant demands upon you for nourishment, and it ALL comes from you, well...

They'd not only forgive you, they'd be thanking you forever.

*Intact males- tomcats have spines on the penis. This stimulates ovulation in the females, but it's very painful for them. This is why the male has to grab them by the back of the neck, so they'll hold still for it, why the females scream, and why, when he lets go and disengages, she'll turn around and clout him.

6. I understand exactly what you're saying, but damn OUCH
Yeah I know all about the barbed penis. I had a male cat once that liked his belly rubbed which sometimes caused an erection. That's the first time I ever had the opportunity to see one.

Simba, was one kewl dude. He played the synthesizer we had on the floor at the time. He passed away back in 2000. Beautiful Russian Blue. I still miss him.

You are The BEST for taking such care of them and they're lucky to be born where someone good could find them and get them neutered.

I like the hair coming off the top of Sango's ears :loveya:

I remember reading about your little baby. I also watched your kitty sorting clothes, very funny and cute.

I make all sorts of toys for my babies to play with, one of their favorites is some aliens that I tied fishing line to it. They love chasing that thing around. They actually broke the head off one of them, so now they have to chase a headless alien. Kagome is the cutest when she gets ahold of it and puts it in her mouth and prances off with it.

Yeah, my boy bounced back after a day or two. However, my little girls will take about a week to recuperate.

14. You'll get a jillion good vibes from me. I was worried SICK when it was
The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger's time to get neutered. Concern for your kitty babies is natural.

P.S. *Chiding you mildly* here: their mama wasn't a "slut." She was just doing what came naturally to an unspayed/unneutered cat, and in doing so, she gave you two beautiful kitties who love you. :)

16. Thx, Heidi
Girls kitties take a little extra time recuperating.

Oh, I know their mama isn't a slut, but damn that poor girl seems like she stays in heat. I wish I could take her in to get her spayed, but she is too wild.

And she gave me three beautiful kitties. And boy oh boy, they do love me. They are so playful, that whenever I feel a little blue I go play with them and they in turn give me such joy, laughter, and happiness. I especially need it after I venture in GD-P, if you know what I mean:hug:

25. Well, sakabatou long story short,
Back in 2000 we found a kittie at my in laws house. They lived out in the country with a couple acres of land. One time when we were visiting we found our other little one. She was very hungry, so we took her some of the salmon juice from the dinner we made for my in laws.

After several visits we got to where baby would follow as and let us pet her. Poor thing had huge stickers all over her. She let me cut them out, and it was at that moment we decided to give her a home. We found a box, cut some holes and put her inside, which she didn't like at all. She tired to escape, of course the way she did it reminded us of the Tasmanian Devil, so we named her Taz. She never responded to that name, I guess she didn't like being associated with the devil.

Eventually I changed her name to Kilala, because of the fur growing under her feet. It reminded me of the feet of fire Kilala has when she transforms. Apparently she loved her new name, because she started coming when I called her.

hard to argue about their beautifullness.

Sango has the best markings I've ever seen. She looks a lot like an miniature tiger.

She is the one of the most affectionate kitties.:loveya:

28. UPDATE: I got my babies back and they're recuperating
It still breaks my heart I had to put them through this, even though I know it was the right thing to do. Having to inflict pain on those sweet little girls.

Kagome who was the sickly kitty, got tested for FeLV. When the woman asked if we wanted to test her, I told her we couldn't afford it at this time, so, she offered to do it for FREE. Her results came back negative. :woohoo:

I asked if that was a good indication that Kagome's siblings were also negative, she told me if they were from the same litter then they probably were FeLV free.

They're still in their carriers and sleeping off their meds.

I just hope they won't hold a grudge against me, that would break my heart right in two.

Thanks to everyone who responded to my request for good vibes....... You guys are the best:loveya:

and she gave me one of her nose hugs. So, I guess she isn't going to hold it against me.

I have them in my bathroom where I have the gas stove on for them to keep them warm.

Thanks for your response, Heidi:hug:
