17. I'm a lefty. I noticed that Barack Obama is left-handed, too.

I do a lot with my right-hand--cut with a scissors, play tennis, iron. I find using a computer mouse to "draw" (esp. when I'm trying to cut out something in a photo using Photoshop) is extremely difficult for me. But, I'm getting better--it takes a lot of concentration. It just doesn't "feel" right to use a mouse with my left hand, unfortunately.

But they're things that I don't generally consider one or the other: playing guitar/banjo/etc., e.g. Those things require some degree of sexterity with both hands. I play golf with right handed clubs and can't imagine using lefties because I don't think it matters either way.

I write with my left. But I "mouse" with the right.

When I'm using a mouse in an abstract manner for desktop activities, it must be left-handed (but I use right-handed button settings).

When I use the mouse to literally aim a pointer, as in a first-person-shooter game (like Quake), I must use my right hand.

I also play instruments right-handed — I can't play left-handed. I can only write left-handed.

Somewhere there's a cognitive science researcher who would be really interested in this.
