Do you ever wish you had a centrifuge?

I'd be separating all kinds of stuff. Hot sauce, soups, gatorade, blood, mayo, hamsters.

10. hmm, I could get you one on the cheap I suppose
Slightly used though. Might want to clean out that icky human blood in it though....:)

And the answer is no for me..I get to play enough with them at work. Don't need them at home (have you ever heard a centrifuge that doesn't work right...ear splitting noises)

14. Ever used an ultra centrifuge?
We just had to have the oil changed in ours because every time the vacuum was turned on the entire room smelled like shit. Fortunately I didn't work in that room, I just put my virus in, turned it on, and went back to my lab. I didn't notice until I came back an hour later and wondered which person forgot to wipe their ass.

17. They have one at work, but I don't use it.
But I have a microcentrifuge that sits right next to me..that makes horrible shrieks when you use it.
Thank god we get pre-treated serum in and not whole blood.

11. Blood's cool to centrifuge.
I saw a jar of mayo in the store that was a milky white blob floating around in oily goo.

Somehow it got separated or someone forgot to shake it.

20. Go over to GD-P. There's enough spinning there to take care of all of your centrifuge needs.

24. I have a centifuge
so eat your heart out. It's just a little one but hey, I think it counts.

I used to have all kinds -- microfuges to ultrafuges -- but I don't work in the lab anymore. Of course, there's always the washing machine.

25. When I was a kid the local playgrounds all had kid powered, push, merry go rounds...
and we would lay down and spin, and spin, and spin. Kind of a centrifuge. Got the blood to the brain which is probably dangerous in 8 year olds.
