2004 Honda Odyssey?
We rolled our van last Thursday in a snow storm so we need a new one. We had a 1999 Isuzu Oasis (Honda van Isuzu name)which we loved, all wheel drive and it was paid for. We got good money out of the old van and are looking to buy a 2004 Odyssey. There are several around at a good price. Does anyone have one of these? The ratings all look good across the board so... Everyone was ok but I have to wear a neck brace until the 14th dr. apt. Everyone should wear seat belts, my hat and bag were discovered under the van where I would have been without it.

1. First of all, glad everyone is okay.
I've known a couple folks that had Odysseys, and at one point, I considered one for the rescues here. Nothing but positive reviews from them, which is one reason I considered it.

I looked up the 2004 in the Consumer Reports guide, and it gets the highest rating available for used vehicles.

2. thanks
rolling was interesting- I had no idea that after the windows go the snow is scooped into the van? I was up to my arse in snow and glass.
We are going to purchase one tomorrow, we think, if it is good inside. The reviews do make me feel better about putting significant money in a 2004.

Yikes, I'm glad everyone is OK - I read the subject line before the post itself.

5. We have one
If it's not 2004, it's a 2003. I'm drawing a blank right now and can't walk out to check.

good van. we got the base model.

6. thanks all
I loved our old van which had all honda parts so our decision is made. Now we just have to negotiate the deal which is my least favourite part of it all. Hate the haggle but I have a price set in stone so it is a take it or leave it visit.
Cheers!

7. Glad you are ok. The Sedona is also a very safe, affordable alternative

We looked at the Odyssey and ended up buying a 2006 Sedona. The selling points were the good reviews and the fact that it was rated as the safest minivan ever tested in crash tests at that time. We also got a lower mile, newer model for what we were willing to spend. We've had it for a year now and so far I have no complaints.

Might be worth considering.

8. thanks
for what my sister in law paid for her used honda she could have purchased a new Kia. The other sister in law did and has had no problems either- not many used around here the people who buy them must like them-
