Any Ford Escape owners here?

We're thinking of buying one. How do you like yours? How's the repair record?

1. I had an Escape for 6 years.

No repair problems. It was fair on gas mileage. Nice size. I just traded for a Mariner - ran into a model year closeout special.

rented one for about 10 days and drove it in the mountains. I really liked it. More importantly, my father, who has mobility problems could get in and out fairly well.

I too would interested to see what other's experience with the Escape has been. I too am thinking of getting an Escape in the not too distant future.

3. our buyer who travels extensivly has one

has almost 200k miles on it and has not been in much for repairs. he likes it. i am thinking of getting it for my son when we decide to get him a new one.

5. One of my old managers leased one for three years

He liked it so much, he bought it at the end of the lease.

6. I absolutely love my hybrid escape...

I've had it for 1 1/2 years. Never had a bit of trouble. It handles great, even in snow, and I only have the front wheel drive version. I get on average about 30 MPG, some weeks as high as 34, occasionally as low as 29.

It holds all 5 of us, which was a necessity since now that 2 of the 3 kids are teens and growing, my husband's Prius won't work for the whole family. Plus, there is a good deal of cargo room in the back.

I would buy it again in a second.

7. We have one. Not bad. It handles well and is easy to park.
