First, it depends on the club. More upscale clubs do wipe off the stage several times during the night, but more for the opposite reason: of the girls that roll around onstage, invariably one of them will have some sort of oil, or oily lotion on, and that makes it very dangerous to try and move in the heels on stage if you go up after her. Even more so for me personally, because onstage I wear the old-fashioned pump-style shoe with five inch heels and pointy toes, not the open-toed platforms you see most girls wear. Those are my 'stage shoes', and I wear the platforms (which are actually more comfortable) on the floor. But, the sanitary-ness of the shoes from the floor being on the stage and then one's skin being in contact with same said stage - that's never really the reason for the cleaning. Honestly, it doesn't usually present that much of a problem. The money we get is actually a lot dirtier than the stage ever is, most times. Many of us carry small cans of Lysol in our lockers/bags or the housemom has some for us to use on our money and etc. A smart entertainer keeps her shoes as clean as she can, anyways..presentation counts.
BTW - on the stripper board I am a member of, G-String Divas is a joke. We can't stand that show. Not very representative of what many of us do. I've NEVER gotten that close to a customer's lap, in the 13 years of dancing that I did.
Second Edit: I also do not do very much floorwork at all, if any. When I do, it is limited to just a few seconds of contact with the stage. I don't think it's classy, but I am an old-fashioned topless dancer, trained in the early 90's "Dollhouse" style. Many girls don't agree with me.
