Help me get motivated today. Sigh.
I only got about three hours of sleep last night -- and it wasn't the fault of my 11 month old twins. Sigh. I couldn't sleep until almost two, then my beloved husband woke me up at 5:00 a.m. because he had to go in to work early. I couldn't fall back to sleep. Then a friend dialed my number by accident at 7:00 a.m., so I got up to start being a little productive, then the babies woke up, and I've been taking care of them all morning.

Its 11:30. They've been fed (twice), I'm showered and dressed (even brushed my teeth), I've put a valance up in the kitchen, and been watching cooking shows (plus Plaza Sesamo) all morning. I have things I *want* to do -- I'm just having trouble "motivating".

Is it time to dive on the caffeinated beverages?

1. HELL, YES! Nectar of the Gods!
I remember days like that. Sounds crazy, but I miss them. They grow up fast, and suddenly, the kids are 18 and 20 YEARS old!

:hi:

2. Caffeine always helps
What's the weather like there? Can you get outside for a walk? I find a little fresh air and exercise gets the blood going, and stirs my creative processes.

3. Its 7 degrees but it feels like -6.
I'll have to run an errand after the babies get their nap this afternoon, but I'm thinking "warm house good" right now! LOL!

4. Sometimes it helps to think of how lucky you are.
From your post, it is obvious that you have:

-family
-friends
-a home
-food

(This is NOT meant to sound snippy or like a lecture. Seriously. You have lots to be thankful for.)

5. I do have a lot to be thankful for.
My babies were born prematurely, but seem to have recovered from it within just a few months, and now at eleven months they are practicing their walking! They have been sleeping through the night (except when the family was fighting a cold), and their father is the world's greatest husband ever. My house is messy but nice (and getting better in the de-cluttering, thanks to the FlyLady!), and even though we aren't rich, we have money for diapers and formula.

I am grateful that my family is in good health and that we are fed, warm, and generally able to pay our bills; today is just one of those "bleh" days that happen when you don't have enough sleep. I am on the final "tail" of a cold, and the coughing/sinus drip was keeping me up until 2:00. I am just not feeling my "normal energetic" self, and I'm having a hard time motivating myself to fold the laundry! LOL!

:)

6. Somebody gave me a heart!
Thank You!!! It was a very sweet thing to do!

If you read this note, let me share a positive moment -- my daughter Brianna is "cruising" from one piece of furniture to the other. She is probably within a day or two (if not sooner) of "letting go" and walking those first few steps "by herself."

Its what I'm watching as I learned about your heart gift. Thank you!!!
