I'm going on book tour! (eeeeee!)
Hey DU, some of you know that my very first novel, WAKE, comes out in three weeks, and my publisher is sending me on a book signing tour! Can you help me spread the word?

Also, to celebrate, I have 20 DU hearts to give away to anyone who needs one -- just ask! (or I will be looking for you, too)

About the book: WAKE is a paranormal thriller with a love story. Amazon page

For high school senior Janie Hannagan, getting sucked into other people's dreams is getting old. Especially the falling dreams, the naked-but-nobody-notices dreams, and the sex-crazed dreams. Janie's seen enough fantasy booty to last a lifetime.

She can't tell anybody about what she does -- they'd never believe her, or worse, they'd think she's a freak. So Janie lives on the fringe, cursed by an ability she doesn't want and can't control.

Then she falls into a gruesome nightmare that chills her to the bone. For the first time, Janie is more than a witness to someone else's twisted psyche, she is a participant...

More book info on my website.

So anyway, I'm going on a U.S. tour, and I'm wondering if any of you book lovers can make it out to see me. If not, maybe you know someone in a tour city who enjoys reading and might be interested in coming to a reading/signing, or maybe you have a blog and need something to blog about... :)

Here's the tour info I have at the moment:

4. Congratulations, First Time Author!
It looks like Simon & Schuster has a lot of faith in you. I just checked on Ingram & the quantities on order are significant for a new book. May you have much success.

7. Wow, serious?

What's a good order for Ingram? I used to be a bookseller up until about 10 years ago, but I don't remember these sorts of details from Ingram, B&T, etc.

I know that there's a good buzz building at the chain stores. Haven't heard much yet on the Booksense front with the indies, but keeping fingers crossed that they like it too!

Thanks for checking that!

35. Ha! Silly DU.
Geardaddy, I may do a second tour if the first one is successful (which will be hard, since the book will be brand new and it's my first book -- not a lot to go on). But I'm gonna do my best to make my publisher proud.

I hope there will be a second tour!

39. Hey Scarlett,
I let my 14 year-old son read it (he loved it, yay! And he's my toughest critic). S&S is recommending 14 and up on the cover. You know your kid best -- there is some language, some mild sexual description. If it were a movie, I'd call it PG-13.

That would totally rock if you came!

Young Adult stuff is very hot right now, you're right on! It's all I read -- I love it. And since Harry Potter and Twilight were such successful crossovers, adults aren't afraid to carry around a YA book anymore. Very cool.

Thanks for the kudos!
