Poll question: Do you listen to DVD commentaries?
Edited on Mon Feb-11-08 02:57 PM by MrCoffee
I do. I am currently re-watching all of Firefly with the commentary tracks on. It breaks my heart to hear how much Nathan Fillion loved that show.

If you have ever listened to a DVD commentary, vote yes. Then tell us what your favorites are.

4. Most of the videos I watch
Often they can be very revealing. One that comes to mind is the commentary for Dark City. It was full of little points about the film that helped me to understand it much better.

5. The first one I listened to was for the first "Scream" movie
It actually was more interesting than I would have expected.

I've watched quite a few John Water movies with commentary (most recently "Serial Mom").

John Water also fif a commentary for "Mommie Dearest", which was interesting.

8. A few of them...
The most interesting one that i've watched was "Rent"... it was interesting to have pointed out some of the in-gags and gaffs that i hadn't noticed the first thousand times i'd seen it.

12. Fight Club has a great commentary track...
And Dude Where's My Car's (my biggest cinematic guilty pleasure, I think) commentary track is pretty hilarious if memory serves me correctly.

13. If find commentaries of The Simpsons surprisingly entertaining
All the commentaries really show how much work goes into making the show, from specific goals/philosophy of the producers/show runners, to the writing process, to the animation process, the voicing of the cast and guest stars, and overseeing all the guiding hand of Matt Groening.
