This Always Puts Tears In My Eyes

Watching Band Of Brothers This Last Weekend

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Richard D. Winters: I treasure my remark to a grandson who asked, "Grandpa, were you a hero in the war?" "No", I answered, "But I served in a company of heroes".

1. ...
Some of the very few times where I began to cry without realizing it were watching this, the beginning (and end) of Private Ryan, and the end of Schindler's List.

The sacrifices made by servicemen and women for their country (ie ME) is beyond imagination and humbling down to the core of my soul.

2. That's such a powerful series...
I understand Mr Winters is still alive, and living in PA. I hope his years since WWII have been peaceful ones...
