The first review I've seen for "Jumper" (I swear I am NOT making this up.)
1/2 a star: "Hayden Christensen’s David is a smug young pup who, since he was 15, has been able to use wormholes to jump from any location in the world to any other, instantly, but the story around him quickly develops more holes than Hillary Clinton’s campaign strategy."

2. Hayden Christensen - why?
Didn't he suck enough as Anakin Skywalker? Must we continue to be subjected to his particularly awful brand of "acting"?

3. The book and its sequel were decent to good to definitely better than that.
Too bad they've done it wrong. In spite of the lack of any scientific or spiritual explanation whatsoever, they were fun, and even touched upon an important theme or two (the main character was being abused by his father, and in first running away from home, gets picked up by a sexually abusive trucker, causing some to call for the book to be banned, never having gotten beyond those pages).

4. Two words would have been enough for the review, I think.
"Hayden Christiansen."
