I think that whole genus is European/Asian. Only seen here in zoos. They are such cuties! :D

The gems of North America (in my humble opinion, LOL) are those in the genus Ambystoma:

They are cuties, and we actually found eggs from them once in our garden. I mostly see them in spring, when it's raining. Then they all gather around our doorstep. I always try to pick them up within their time zoning - very, very slow. :)
