A hummingbird visits me every day.

Since I put a hanging gardenia by the front door, a hummingbird comes every day and feeds from the flowers. It's there right now. One day it flew right in the open door into the house. I thought it was supposed to be bad luck when a bird is flying in your house? Well it felt like good luck, and it didn't seem lost, it had no problem just zippin' back out.

Never had one fly in the house, but they love the trumpet vine that grows in my weed tree...

2. At the old house, I had an HB feeder outside the window, when it was

empty the HBs would flit in the open front door, into my living room to REMIND me to fill it again, chirping madly!

They had me very well trained! I love those things.

No way can any Hummingbird be bad luck! I just love the little critters, and have lots of native flowers and several feeders outside for them during migration. I saw my first female Ruby-Throat of the season last weekend and look forward to their company until late October. They are darling little birds.
