Anybody know how to get a street name straight with the post office?

I live on a road that is officially named "Union Ridge rd." and most people mailing me stuff have no issues with that street name. On occasion there are mail programs some businesses use that do not recognize that as a valid street name. Why do they have problems? There is a church down the road named "Kings chapel" and some brainiac decided that they should put a street sign at the church entrance that says "King Union ridge rd". The street signs at either end of the road say "Union ridge rd". It is causing me trouble with some of the stuff I order online. I went through hell trying to get blockbuster to open an online rental account & today I had ordered a some software & it delayed the shipment due to the address confusion.
