Here's me practicing hand signals I use for my job.

but I don't want to risk killing the excitement in this thread that had dropped off the front page before you kicked it up. I'll gladly pm you if need be, but I'm sure I'll finally kick this for the very last time (this weekend?) with a translation.

The only hint I'll give now, is that every one of my signals above is one of the base-10-numbers. We use other signals that are for actions to perform, but they're moving hand & arm signals that probably can't be represented in still picture form.

PS: One of the base-10-numbers is also poorly represented in still picture format.

We did a bit of that when I was studying drafting in high school — went out and surveyed a local ranch. I still remember stuff like "mark" and "check" and the signals to raise or lower the target on the Philadelphia rod.
