Is this cool? I need an objective opinion on my latest photoshop

I've been looking at it too long. I'm going for an ice look but I cant get the forehead the way I want it.

The translucency of the ear is perfect.
I want to see it continue through into the cheek area, so we get the transparent quality of an ice block, picking up the white sky behind.

for ice I would do a pshop color table and place vectors overlays.

6. Very nice work. To answer your question, yes, it's cool! I do agree with the

translucency comments though, if you were looking for ice ... it's looking just a trifle too metallic right now in my (far from knowledgeable, much less expert) opinion.

I apologize for my terse tone: I thought you were asking something different.

In any case, to my eye this filter isn't giving enough transparency to make the object look like it is made of ice. But it does look like some cool liquid-metal thing.

I would lighten the forehead some, to have the look of transparency, just above the brow line. Somewhat splotchy. Shadow under the hair line, See how that looks. Great idea!

Second version's better though, first version the forehead looks silvery as opposed to transparent.
