I don't know whether to drive or skate to work today!
Damn! Went to leave for work and my driveway (which is 1/4 mile long) is a skating rink. Sheer ice. They sanded yesterday but the heavy rain last night just froze over it. I hate to be a baby about this but I think I'll stay home...second day in a row! I have no problem driving in snow but this ice is a different story and we've had way more of it this year (Global Warming, maybe?)I'm ready for this winter to be gone!

1. the major roads seemed very clear to me
my driveway was exactly like yours. I came home last night to 3 inches of slush. I cleared what I could, but, it was still raining and it was just too much water. Now it's all ice.

But the roads were fine.

2. My problem is getting to the roads!
Once I get down my driveway I have a 3 mile dirt road to get over before I hit a main highway and the dirt road was flooded out last night.
