Gay Movie Thread
Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 08:49 AM by WillBowden
Post your favorite clips (nothing to get the thread locked, though...those you can send to me personally...hehe)

The Trip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnfHL-7Cq0U (And it uses The Pointer Sisters! A bonus for any movie.)

I couldn't see the movie (I've seen the ending and it wasn't something I could bear.)

29. Speaking as a hetero...
I'd do Paul Newman WAY before I'd touch Tom Cruise.

To be fair, I never did see "Interview," but Cruise just creeps me out.

Edited on Thu Feb-14-08 10:23 AM by Iggo
Real cute, lame movie. Love triumphs. (And a lot of plaid skirts, nom sain?)

Honorable mention to a short film that I saw once called Slo Mo. Maybe it wasn't gay-themed (then again, maybe it was), but it sure was gay-cast. I still love calling people a "fucken slo-mo!"

30. I wanted to see this movie, but...
I saw some clips on Youtube and one of them was very disturbing and made me think the ending would be very sad.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcmoGmYI5JA

They showed it today on Logo and let me just say that (without giving the ending away) it was very good.

31. So Brokeback Mountain is getting shunned here??!
One of my all time faves, gay or straight!

I just watched Steam: A Turkish Bath and wowza! THAT is a steamy flick. I'm on a verrrry slow dialup so I don't even dare try to download a youtube snip or else I'll crash but it's got a lot of the same themes as Brokeback especially "who are you really? and how do you want to really live your life?"

Saw it many years ago on TV as I was a big fan of William Friedkin who directed this along with The French Connection and The Exorcist. Pretty funny as I recall.

47. Does "Angels in America" count?
It started as a TV movie but it's on DVD. Al Pacino as Roy Cohn talking with Ethel Rosenberg's ghost (Meryl Streep). Emma Thompson as the Angel...lots of wonderful performances there.
