3. Is Valentine's Day a holiday in the States?

I'm quite certain it isn't a holiday here in Australia

Anyway, I guess it's great if you're in love and happy but I'm not at this stage in my life yet. And I must admit the day makes me feel like a failure and it hurts so I guess I'd be under the category of hating the holiday and the media and popular culture's emphasis on it.

6. It's not a holiday in the sense that you have the day off from work...

But yeah, it's a holiday. And yeah, I sort of hate the expectations thing that goes along with it, and that it makes single people feel crappy. I was single until I was 34, so I know just how you feel. But I'm very, very fortunate in that I found my love and soul mate. Thanks. :hug:
