Anyone good at identifying animal tracks?

I took this picture 9 days ago in the Cleveland National Forest, 50 miles east of San Diego.

1. Rabbit.

Prints of both front feet and both rear feet together indicate hopping rather than running. I'm not far from where you shot this and our yard is criss-crossed with tracks like these.

Edit: I misread your post. I thought it said a national park near Cleveland.

3. It's in southern California, close to the Mexican border

The tracks seemed too large to me to be from a rabbit, but I'm not familiar with tracks in snow at all.

Actually this was taken in the mountains, at an elevation of about 6,000 feet. There are a lot of trees there, here's another picture I took from the same spot:

I had tracks in the snow around my house I couldn't figure out, not rabbit for sure and not deer :wtf:

21. From this angle looks like a rabbit

the bunnies hind legs make two long tracks then you get the two little front paws in front of the long ones.
I'm a pretty good tracker. I can also put my ear to the ground and tell you how many are coming on horse back..that kind of shit.
You learn that kind of stuff when you live in the wild west.
