I just got some crappy news.

My cousin Dustin is ill. The doctors have narrowed it down to either,leukemia or Still's disease. His brother said he lost 40 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Dustin is 25. He's in the hospital and he asked me to visit. Any prayer's or wishes for Dustin would be appreciated.

My partner was erroneously diagnosed with leukemia a couple of years ago and it was a scary couple of months before they changed their minds and ruled it out; immunology seems to be still somewhat of a mystery hit-or-miss field. Here's hoping it turns out to be something manageable.

Dustin's mom died when he was one year old,then his father died when Dustin was 5. His oldest sister raised him and his siblings,she looks twenty years older than she is. Life sure isn't fair.

I am hoping everything turns out in the end.

I have a pen pal (one of the "Make a Child Smile" kids) who was diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 12...she is now almost 15, off treatment, and although she does struggle with some late effects from the chemo, she is basically active, healthy and doing extremely well. Just thought I'd let you know...it's not a death sentence even if he does have it.
