14. When they're fresh, they're the best
but sometimes they can be a little, shall we say, unpredictable.

22. I dunno what kind of oil In-N-Out uses
or how long they cook their fries, or how long fries should be cooked at what temperature, etc. etc. etc. — but In-N-Out fries seem to be coated in WD-40.

last place: Burger King (blech!)
2nd to last place: Jack in The Box (always tastes like the fried chicken)
3rd to last place: In and Out (maybe I only like fake fries)

18. See I feel the opposite
I find Wendy's fries to be bland and mushy, while Burger King's are just the right amount of crisp. They pale, however, next to the seasoned fries from Rally's/Checker's.

20. It's bizarre because I just had this very discussion with my mom last night and I said Checkers
Zaxby's are pretty good, but they are just your basic crinkle fry. Love some Chik-fil-A waffle fries and Wendy's are pretty good too.

:hi:

23. I don't like Zaxby's fries so much. I love the spicy Checkers fries!
There used to be a Checkers within walking distance of my house but now I must drive across town for a fries fix. I haven't had any Checkers food in almost two years.

Now I'm jonesing for some spicy fries! ;)

:hi: I'll see y'all on March 8th! :woohoo:

But does anyone have ANY idea why it's "Rally's" in the north and "Checker's" in the south?

Here's a tip about fries for fast-food managers:

COOK them.

24. Does Five Guys count as fast food?...
If so, Five Guys hands down. They're like the fries you can get at the boardwalk.

If not, Wendy's. And I agree about Burger King fries, they're disgusting.

31. The Cajun Fries at
Popeye's Chicken and Biscuits. Their spicy chicken sandwich is incredible. Totally puts anyone else's to shame including Chick-fil-A.

Popeye's is my special occassional treat.

34. Wendy's is probably the best if the oil is still good and the dummies don't over fry them.
In & Out is pretty good, but they get cold too fast.

KFC is OK.

McD makes my chest hurt.

Del Taco makes my chest hurt.

I don't like Murder King or Carl's fries.

JBs are semi decent.

Sonic is OK, but I only encounter them in Vegas.

37. Del Taco's crinkle-cut fries
Del Taco is one of only a couple of chains that still sell crinkle-cut fries. These were originally designed for the home market to be baked in ovens, but they are extra super-duper yummy when fried the conventional way.
