Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain...
cold cold cold cold

:boring: :boring:

how's your weather today?

Mine:

Oh and it is 45 degrees and "light rain", :wtf: I wonder what it would take for Yahoo to consider it heavy rain?

I suspect it has rained well over an inch today... it's been like this ALL FRICKIN' DAY!!!!!!!

trapped in my apt. with a bored 7 y/o, but we are leaving again for a bit, then we will do something if the power doesn't give out as it seems to be trying to do just that.

:hi:

1. Seasonable here.
Sunny and high 50s --- perfect day for outdoor projects. I was painting the shed.

17. I had an "accidental manx"
Years ago, my family had a cat named Sadie. Sh was basically a Maine Coon-the big feet, long hair, ruff around the neck-but she was tiny, while Maine Coons are usually huge.

Anyway, one day Saide comes in with her tail dragging on the ground, covered with twigs, leaves, and grit. She growled and hissed when I tried to see what was the matter, which was very unusual for her. We took her to the vet, who told us that she had broken her tail and severed the nerves right near the base of the tail. It had to come off.

So, a day later, Sadie is bopping around the house with no tail, a shaved butt, and a set of stitches that made her look like a stuffed animal. She seemed perfectly fine, but the other two cats were horrified, and kept sneaking up behind her to sniff the stiched-up baboon bum.

With her fuzzy head and neck and no tail, poor Sadie always looked as though she was going to tip over, and she often did.

20. We had one when I was a kid
he climbed under the neighbor's hood to get warm I guess and when she started it up she heard a screech and turned the car off. She found a black cat's tail.

Later that day we found our cat missing a black tail.

He survived, and was without tail most of his life :(

4. We're at 1.5 inches at 7PM in OK. 42 degrees. Awfully soggy, but we'll take it.
My pond is close to full which bodes well for another hot summer. Getting good soil moisture for the pasture. This is the way its supposed to work.

33. Got out today and almost got the tractor stuck in pasture, nearly up to the hubs.
So much for my "well the farmers need it." Shit, what farmers need is 4wd on their tractors, which I don't got.

11. Partly cloudy here in SE WA State, with a little bit of sun at times today.
I'm psyched because I was able to sit out on my balcony for a bit today without a coat on and watch the world go by.

but it feels like a rapid change in air pressure, a rapid drop in temperature, and wind. :(

I hope your weather improves tomorrow, and I hope the weather here stabilizes. :)

16. Heavy Rain/hail/wind in Dallas area....35 degrees
And my daughter's place of work (movie theater) had it's teenage boy workers out meeting movie goers in the parking lot with umbrellas during the heaviest portion of rain/wind....I saw 2 of the umbrellas turn inside out and get shredded as I waited for my daughter to leave work. Nice gesture, I guess, but I felt so bad for those workers.
Right afterwards as I was going thru a drive thru to get food the "order here" speaker/screen was zapped with lightening or something, deafening sound of thunder right above the building and the screen went blank. Felt like my car was being submerged in water as I rolled down the window to pay/get my food!
I can handle cold, I can handle wet but cold AND wet make me wanna crawl back in bed for the day!!!

It's the time of year when the weather gods like to tease us...hold out a little nibble of what could be and what will be...

and then snatch it back.

*sigh*
