Heidi Klum says she wants to help Britney Spears ("She can live with us for a couple of months")
I thought this was a pretty classy move by Ms. Klum and thought it deserved mention.

Klum says she wants to help Spears

02/17/2008 9:08 AM, AP

Heidi Klum wants to help Britney Spears. The 34-year-old model says she'd be willing to open her home to Spears while the troubled pop singer puts her life back together.

"She can call me and come live in our house with us for a couple of months," said Klum, a mother of three who is married to the singer Seal and lives in Beverly Hills, Calif. "I would help set her straight."

"I am sorry when a young person gets thrown so off track," Klum said, according to a transcript of an interview that will be aired Monday night by the German broadcaster ARD. "She has, of course, lived an extremely wild life."

After more than a year of bizarre behavior and two stints in a psychiatric hospital this year, Spears was placed under a conservatorship by the Los Angeles County Superior Court commissioner at the beginning of February. Conservatorships are established when a court determines that someone cannot take care of themselves or their affairs.

1. it isn't classy, it's just stupid
while i realize that it's just a publicity stunt to get some press, you don't do a mentally ill person any good by enabling them to run away from getting real professional help for their problems

i'm not aware of klum's credentials as a psychiatrist nor do i see any benefit to her three young kids to klum taking in a woman with substance abuse issues/bipolar disease at a time when her own children are of an impressionable age -- did she not hear about the judge denying brit custody of her OWN kids? this is a pretty good clue she don't need to be around kiddies influencing them right about now

open your home to deaf dalmations or aging greyhounds or something, not drug addicts who have already been judged in court of law to be unsafe around their OWN children

it begs the question of who is crazier

5. dunno
I'm betting a lot of celebrites are distressed at Ms. Spears' downfall and the fact that she is unable to do anything, go anywhere, without being stalked. I feel bad for Ms. Spears and I think it's nice that others do too.

7. PEOPLE, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!
1. Who knows where Britney has been, apart from her 3 marriages...
2. Who knows where Heidi has been...
3. Forget young people; the older ones are those people look up to and they seem to be throwing everyone else off track...

9. Forgot which 'recovering' celeb it was...
...but friend allowed her to stay at one of her places while she was 'trying to get her act together' :eyes:
...she not only treated her friend like shit, but she trashed the place.
Apparently 'recovering' involved a lot of parties with various quasi-and totally illegal substances being consumed.
FRIENDSHIP OVAH...

It's a kindly thought, and I'm sure her heart's in the right place (giving Ms. Klum the benefit of the doubt here) but like those SNL jeans of long ago...BAD IDEA.

Think Ms. Spears would benefit more from a structured and monitored environment until she has MUCH more of a grip on things and is more stable is all...
Turn her loose now with some 'friends' and it will be a case of

"We now return you to your trainwreck in progress."
