Simon is sitting on my lap. A purring machine.

(OK, stock photo, but pretty damn close.)

Simon is the new 'next door' kitty.
We now have a next door Beagle and 2 next door cats.
Next door pets are the best kind.
You don't have to pay their vet bills and when they bug you you can send 'em home.
Kinda like grandkids.
;-)

Simon is about 6 months old and all legs.
4 white socks.
And he LOVES people.
Every time we let him in he heads straight for somebody's lap.
And everything on this planet is a toy.
If it's a little bit smaller than he is, it's something to bat around, pounce upon, and play with.
He is absolute HELL on an ice cube on a tile floor.

And now he's asleep on my lap.
I think.
And still purring.
What a hoot.

1. Oh yeah, he has a crooked tail.
There's a 90 degree bend in it about 2 inches from the end.
Bet it got slammed in a door at some point.
Poor kitty.
But I guess it's part of his 'character' now.

2. What a cutie
As I type this I have my own purring kitty on my lap. Occasionally, she reaches out a paw to help me type...

Nothing nicer than having a purr buddy is there?:)

3. Simon hasn't found the keyboard yet.
But it's kinda hard to type over his head.

5. I had a Simon with an accidentally bobbed tail.
He was a beautiful little Siamese. One day Jeffie ran in the kitchen door and Simon ran in behind him and the screen door caught Simon's little sealpoint-tipped tail. Then it was gone. Very sad. His brother Garfunkle wasn't as pretty, but at least he had a tail.
