The trip to Palm Springs...pic heavy!
Looking down the mountain from the top of the tram station:

A big old pine tree:

A view of the windmills:

Snow, and lots of it!

And yours truly with a glass of wine:

It was a blast!

:woohoo:

1. And my first thought was..
"What kind of wine is that?" :P

... I don't drink that much, really.

5. My dear DarkTirade!
The wine was a very nice white Zin...

I don't know which one, though...

I let the waiter choose!

I don't drink too often, either...

But I do like those white zinfandels...

7. Rather brightly colored for a white. :)
But it was obviously not dark enough to be a red.

I don't drink that much, and yet I have literally gallons of alcoholic beverages at my house right now...

Mostly because I'm experimenting with home brewing. :P

Glad you like the one of silly me!

I was having a ball, and I hadn't even had any of the wine yet...

The windmill farm was amazing...I guess the wind can really howl through there!

It was a lot of fun being up on the mountain top...

I haven't seen or been near snow in decades!

Thanks, sweetie!

14. Snow?!
Near Palm Springs?? I'm kinda geographically stupid (ok, very geographically stupid when it comes to California), but I didn't realize there were mountains that tall around there.

Did you get to play in the snow a little? When I went home for Christmas, everyone made fun of me because whenever I'd go outside, the first thing I'd do was make a snowball...and then toss it at someone, of course. They thought my amusement was a bit ridiculous. ;)

I loved the pic of the windmill "farm." I've always said that's something Nebraska should have. God knows, they get enough wind! They do look rather odd though!

Glad you had a great time...and glad to have you back!!

Yup, snow!

We were up above 8000 feet at the top of the tramway...

Those are the San Jacinto Mountains, I believe...

Ah, no, I didn't play in the snow!

I did reach through the fence to feel it...

It was very cold and fluffy!

Yeah, the windmills are quite exotic...but they work!

Glad to be home too...thanks, sweetie!

ETA: Up above 8000 feet, not 2000! :P

around 10am its over 100 degrees!!!!!

"Rocks: silent, inanimate objects torn from the Earth's ancient crust, yielding up to Man over the long centuries all that is known of the planet on which we live; withholding from Man forever their veiled secrets of the nature of matter and cosmic catastrophe, the secrets of other worlds in the vastness of the universe... of other forms of life... of strange organisms beyond the imagination of Man..."
