My dad
I posted here about my dad when he went to the hospital with pneumonia. (He is 82).

He has more than pneumonia. Because his confusion did not go away quickly enough to suit the doctors, they did an EEG. Apparently he had a stroke while his breathing was so labored. He is in the early stages of dementia.

One day he was fine, and the next he was not the same person any more.

I know that he has had many good years, but I feel a sense of loss.

Also, I still don't know how my kitty is doing. With the news about my dad, I forgot to call the vet to find out about her tests. Of course my dad is more important than my kitty, but she is a beloved companion. I will call tomorrow.

The fighting on DU is getting to me as well. I might have to check in here less often, or I might become just as snarly as some of the poo-flingers in GD: P.

6. I'm so sorry. Found out several years ago that my
mother was in early dementia, and I do understand how hard that can be, on top of general illness.

Here's good vibes to you, your dad and your kitty. I have one of our seven cats on my lap right now; they truly provide great companionship and comfort.

And just come hang out with us in the Lounge - all we do is bicker about boobies and kudzu and stuff. GD:P is scary!
