I'm OK, but my car is toast... ask me anything, I'll answer in the morning...
Hit an icy patch on an overpass and there were a bunch of cars stopped on the overpass due to earlier accidents, so I couldn't stop and smashed into a pickup truck... out of the car, a couple minutes later an SUV did the same thing and creamed the back of my car. (Nissan Altima, definitely out of my weight class on both ends) I'm shook up, but OK, but the car is a goner... it did that accordian thing its supposed to do on the front and back.

The good news? All the photo gear I had packed in the trunk seems to be without a scratch, AND nobody got cited, since the road conditions were so bad.

Anyone in Ohio or hereabouts looking to unload a good used car that gets decent gas mileage?

But it's almost 3 am... time for bed. I'm sure I'll be sore in the morning.

3. Thanks :)
Replacing the car is going to be a huge pain in the ass, though... I hate car shopping worse than just about anything.

2. What part of OH?
LK's g'parents are up in the northwest part, outside Lima. If that's anyplace near you I can ask them if they've seen anything, they have a real knack for finding good deals.

4. That's not too far
I'm in Dayton, about 80 minutes south of Lima, so it's a possibility. don't have them go out of their way, but off the top of their heads, it could work out.

Thanks!

strange thing is, two collisions that crumpled the crumple zones, and the airbags didn't go off either time... in fact nobody involved in the whole mess had an airbag deploy. weird...

Yes, in the south burbs.

I'm a little stiff and sore this morning, but probably more from falling on the ice than the accident...

19. Wait til the ambulance chasing
lawyers and chiropractors start calling. One doctor's office said they were from the "State Farm scheduling desk". I let her have it...

Take care of yourself.

28. Eww, stills from a car snuff film!
I'm glad you're OK, having gone through a battle with black ice that left my car totaled, and two rear-endings, it's never a fun thing to repair or replace a car.
