So I have just started watching the first season of Jericho...

I just finished watching the 7th episode.

It's pretty good.

I thought the writing for the first 4 was very strong, but the last three, it's beginning to slide into "days of our lives" post appocolype.

Someone tell me it gets better? Please?

It gets better. Much better.

Episode 7 is a bit melodramatic, but the next few are outstanding. The story really starts to pick up steam, and some new elements will be introduced that will make your jaw drop.

The second season is pretty strong, but as I said in another thread, I wish there was a full season to flesh it out. It does move a bit fast, and seems like a Cliff's Notes version of what it could have been. But hey, the show was never even expected to come back, until fans started sending bags of nuts to CBS brass.

I hope there's a third season. If CBS drops it, maybe somebody else (Sci-Fi?) will pick it up.
