I met someone nice recently
For the first time in forever. And he seems to like me too. I'm all giddy like a teenager. And the timing totally sucks because chances are I am not going to stay in this town. My chances of finding a job involving upward mobility here are approximately nil. And he just moved here.

We had a nice lunch on Sunday and when he called on Monday to see if I wanted to go to dinner tonight (Wed), I just stammered something about having to work late (I actually did not get home until 7- later than normal but not terribly late, except that it would have made a late dinner because I would have had to take a shower and stuff). In any case, I just feel silly. I never quite know what to do in these situations and I am always wondering if I have done something stupid to mess it up.

2. no, just call back tomorrow or the next day
if you ask him out for dinner, especially if it's for the weekend, he'll understand that you really did have to work late. You should go for it - no sense in not being happy just because you might move, or things might not work out. Everyday, I might get hit by a bus, but I still cross the street.

4. I called Wednesday.
We were supposed to see a movie tomorrow but he never returned my call yesterday and not so far today. I have no idea of his schedule, though, but I just hate this shit. I'm better off alone.
