I'm back from sunny Cancun, Mexico!

Just a post to say "hi" to everybody. :hi: I'll post pictures at a later time. Had a great vacation, got one of the best suntans of my life, and caught a 14" barracuda off the coast of Cancun last Thursday, (and oh YES! I have pictures of THAT! B-) )

2. Oh, I got lots. Pics of the resort (Royal Sands), pics of the Mayan ruins at Tulum,

3. How was it? I'm going at the end of March

how was the weather?

Tell me everything. Aside from BB"s, etc, i've yet to actually meet anyone who's gone to cancun. People have gone to alot of other places in Mexico, but no one I know has gone to Cancun./

5. The weather was very hot, but there are regular, powerful offshore breezes

that mitigate the heat a great deal. Granted, this is February; I'm told the heat is intolerable in the summer, but if you're going in March, I guess you'll be okay. My Spanish has improved tremendously, too. I'm learning Spanish for work, and down there, I used it as often as possible with the staff. They were all gracious and helpful with me. I'm able to have entire conversations now in very simple Spanish. It's thrilling to be able to communicate in a new language. B-)

The pictures look wonderful, especially the one of you. :loveya: I love the one of the wind farm in Palm Springs. Rows and rows of windmills look so much nicer than rows and rows of oil derricks.

8. Hey, cool!! We just booked 10 days in Cancun for June

I've never been. It'll be our 15 yr wedding anniv and we got inspired by matcom and mrs matcom's most recent trip down there, so we're going to the same place they did! :bounce: Playa Mujeres, have you heard of it? It's a 5-star, all inclusive, couples-only resort. We're soooo excited! It'll be the longest trip away, without the kids, EVER!

10. We stayed at the Royal Sands. I haven't heard of Playa Mujeres.

But then, there are a LOT of resorts down there. I'm sure I missed it.

11. I was down in Cozumel a few weeks ago...

and I was surprised at how hot it was. Celebrated Mardi Gras with the locals...much fun!
