Do you remember running from the waves?
Taken yesterday at Topsail Island NC:

What does a 3 year old think when the whole ocean is before him?

2. What I remember most when I was first confronted with such a vast
expanse of water on the Galveston Gulf Shore was looking down and picking up sea shell after sea shell. I was wonder-ment personified.

I probably played tag with the waves a little as well, just like your little one.

3. I lived in Galveston from age 5 - 8

5. I suppose colorful shells appeal to only a few, but I was fascinated!
I brought back large numbers of periwinkles that were still alive at the time. They did not remain so. Did I mention that I also brought back quite a stench?

My parents would...:-)

Edited on Mon Feb-25-08 06:03 AM by Skittles
I would scramble into the water of the North Sea, let all the air out of my lungs and stay underwater and swim really fast as long and as far as possible to drive parents or grandparents INSANE. :D

Well, except I was above water practically being pushed by my dad. I lived in the surf for several years as a kid. I miss the ocean :(
