Has There Ever Been A Better Actor Than Daniel Day Lewis?
I swear, the guy is amazing in everything he does. And he never looks the same in any role he plays, nor does he sound the same.

There are a lot of great actors, or actors that people consider great - Pacino, DeNiro, Brando, Hanks, ect - but you always know you're watching them, no matter how good of a job they're doing playing a role.

I just get completely lost in whatever character Lewis is playing.

Tell me, who watched Gangs of New York and didn't walk away thinking they could have made a much better movie if they just focused on Bill the Butcher instead of Leonardo Dicaprio's character?

3. He's definitely among the greatest...
I don't think it's possible to choose one greatest actor of all time. But I am amazed by his versatility and his obvious devotion to his craft. Day-Lewis is clearly one of the finest actors who has ever lived.

4. Right now he's probably the best of his generation...
...but if you want to go back, there was Spencer Tracy, Cary Grant, Charles Laughton...though it's hard to compare actors from different generations since acting has changed over the years, like any craft will.

5. I'll see whatever he does
It's to the point where if he's in a movie I'll buy the ticket.

What? His next project is a romantic comedy co-starring Drew Barrymore? If DDL is in it I'm sure that it will be amazing.
