2. Bubble wrap is a highly-successful alien life form.
Originally a mimic, it decided upon the "bubble wrap" form for many reasons. It is now shipped/migrating across the universe with no other effort on its part, safely inside boxes and containers; reproduces via spore generation (once again, with no further effort on its part; interested parties break open the spore pods with predictable regularity and obsession at every destination), etc.

I for one welcome our bubble wrap overlords.

4. I started a science-fiction spoof, years and years ago, that totally sucked
except for a few odd bits such as that.
