12. Was the Woolf novel based on the epic poem?
I haven't read either, and can't say I understood the movie.

Just recognized the beautiful face.

I've always found Swinton's androgyny extremely hot, but that Gabriel get-up was particularly hot. :D

(If only my website were working right now, that would have made sense. But for some reason my innergoth.com domain is pointing at my author website. Suffice it to say, I sell scented goodies and little black bags for your inner goth. :D )

I used to make and sell both http://www.gothicleatherwork.com">Gothy and http://www.stickmanltd.com/cheapsabers">geeky stuff. :)

38. Very cool
Now just combine them: gothy light sabers and geeky leatherwork. :D

I managed to figure out my domain hosting problem while watching the Clinton/Obama debate, so innergoth.com is back up. Like yours, it's more of a "used to make and sell" site than a current enterprise, but I keep telling myself I'm going to get it going again.

11. She doesn't fit that Barbie image that most males aspire for actresses to have
She is real, and that is why she won the trophy.

She took the time to sign autographs, take pictures, and let people hold something she worked hard for, and these assholes want to comment on the lack of makeup.

I honestly don't get the whole Barbie thing. People seem so fascinated by brainless Paris Hilton, hate people like Hillary Clinton for no reason. These are the same type who make rude comments about Tilda Swinton. She could probably give a shit less what these people think.

Maybe I am just different. I don't evaluate a persons value over what their concern is on what people think of them. Maybe, I just don't have much concern of what people think of me, and I project that. Who knows?

I just thought it was thoughtful of her to take the pictures, and let people hold her Oscar.

21. For some of us, brainlessness is the biggest turnoff possible.
Of course, when I really stop and think about that I have to wonder... does that make me shallow? Some people honestly can't help being brainless.

Of course, the only people I could have such a philosophical discussion with are, y'know, not brainless. :P So all in all it's a fairly moot point.

I just took this stupid history test on AOL where they asked 17 year olds the most simple questions possible, and fewer than half answered some of the questions correctly.

These are the folks glued to Jerry Springer and American Idol, and it really makes you see how someone like Bush became president.

No, that makes you the opposite of shallow.

23. You're welcome.
She is quite an actress, as well, with a lot of range. She can play a witch, a man who turns to a woman, an attorney who orders hits, and a soccer mom who protects her son with equal believability.

It's an art house film from the mid 80s, a modern take on the Painter's life.

33. she seems to appreciate her fans
more than the statue. i can't think of anyone else(including those i think are good people) who would have so easily handed the statue to the fans and taken the time to take pictures and autographs. even with the people saying it's time to go. she seemed in no hurry.

34. The last time I heard of something like this, it was Michael Moore
Michael Moore made a speaking appearance in Seattle shortly after he won the Oscar. He passed it around in the audience, let people have their picture taken with it, etcetera.

Tilda Swinton sounds pretty cool, and good for her that she's gracious enough to share.
