The regular season starts March 31. I think this is the first time it's started in a month other than April.

I am so glad baseball is starting earlier! Seems like a treat and I am so ready for it all. People are happier, beer is tastier, junk food has no calories, you can yell and laugh and just everything is more fun at baseball games!

But I say the fact the "Mighty Casey" poem having been first published in 1887 points to the tradition and stability (more or less) of the game. Still 90 feet between bases, still 3 strikes and your out! No three point line, no two point conversion, no shootouts................ :)
