no one is at home on the mac forum, so, again, I'm asking here.

I'm very happy with it.

2. may I ask you with some questions?

do you use it at the most basic level, or are you a big time biz? -- for my needs, I don't think I need more than 600 email addresses, for instance.. and I don't need more than 10 domains.. and not even that.

I do need lots of space to hold lots of images. mostly in jpg, but some animated gifs and some .tiffs, but hopefully not too many of those.

what are the "hidden fees" for things you would want to do but can't w/o paying more money (i.e. if you want to have a payment thing - or could you just use a paypal acct. )

have you ever tried their blog services? can you host a blogspot blog there - import the design that you like, etc?

Which features do you use the most? Are there any features they don't have that you wish they did?

it says they offer ftp - so does that mean I can use my mac carbon to upload and manage directories, etc? do you use the ssh feature? in my experience that means using unix and a terminal screen... which is fine with me. is that what it means for your use via their hosting site? Obviously I've never registered for a domain name or hosting site so I don't have prior experience with anything outside the realm of the biz that gives me access via them - for them, of course.

thank you in advance.

3. I use it at the most basic level
I have a very simple personal / campaign site. I've been with them a few years now and have what probably compares to what they call their "beginner" package right now.

I've never come close to paying any extra fees, including going over the transfer maximum.

I use WISE FTP now and I think I used Cute at one point. I have no idea about Carbon. I know just enough HTML to be dangerous, so I have no idea about ssh.

Last I tried them, the dynamic site creator, builder, and forum software were sub par. I do not use their blog service. I have a blog.sub domain that I publish through Blogger. It works fine.

Sorry I can't help more on the biz stuff. My employer hosts sites for several businesses with them, so it must work. That's how I found them for my site. In over 3 years, I've never known my site to go down.

HTH.
